X-Pilot teki tilannepäivityksen suosittuun -X- Suosittelee Nikon ja Canon digijärkkäriä ilmavalokuvaukseen artikkeliin “keski hintaluokka” kategoriaan. Tästä päivästä lähtien se on Nikon D300s. Kamerassa on myös nyt HD- video ominaisuus, joskin vain 720p 24f/s, eli täyteen Full-HD resoon ei viellä päästä. Seuraavassa kameran tekniset tiedot.

Eli artikkelia -X- Katsastaa Garmin Colorado 300 GPS ilmailu / mova käytössä on päivitetty sen variometri ominaisuuden takia pääpiirteittäin seuraavasti:
Garmin Colorado toimii myös erittäin hyvin variometrinä, koska se on varustettu barometrillä. Eli korkeus ja vajooma/ nousunopeus näkyy hyvin ja kaiken huipuksi ne toimivat todella hyvin moottorivarjoliito käytössä. Voit resetoida tai asettaa haluamasi lähtökorkeuden ja kun muistat ottaa asetuksista pois automaattisen kalibroinnin, niin mittari ei kalibroi kesken kaiken gps- tietojen mukaan mittaria. Vaikka nousu/ vajoomisnopeuden näyttö toimii hyvin ja herkästi, niin välttämättä siitä ei ole vapaalentoon ilman moottoria, jossa haetaan termiikkejä, varsinkin kun mittarista puuttuu ääni, jota vapaalentäjät arvostavat.
Tässä screen shotit lennolla, ensimmäisessä kuvassa on niin sanottu “variometri näkymä” valittuna ja toisessa kartta pohjana. eri näkymään on helppo päästä rullanäppäimen avulla vaikka käsissä olisikin isommatkin tumput.
X-Pilot ei enään käytä lennoillaan erillistä variometriä, koska Garmin Colorado täyttää tämän tehtävän erittäin hyvin ja kun mittareiden paikat on nykyään valittu sivutaskujen päälle, niin edessä olevaa mittaritelinettä ei tarvita laisinkaan, jolloin mittarit ovat mukana huomaamattomasti, ilman että ne haittaisivat… mitään.
Garmin Coloradon nykyinen paikka (05/2009- tilanne) löytyy vasemman sivutaskun päältä, jossa se ei ole tiellä ja näkyy hyvin.

X-Pilot teki tilannepäivityksen suosittuun -X- Suosittelee Nikon ja Canon digijärkkäriä ilmavalokuvaukseen artikkeliin “edullisin hintaluokka” kategoriaan. Tästä päivästä lähtien se on Canon EOS 500D, joka on varustettu 50D mallista olevalla 15.5 miljoonaa pixeliä ja 22.3 x 14.9 mm croppi- kokoisella CMOS kennolla. Kamerassa on myös nyt HD- video ominaisuus, joskin parhaalla laadulla vain 20 freimiä sekunnissa, joka on kyllä perin outo freiminopeus, jossa varmasti näkyy jo kovassa liikkeessä pienen pieni nykiminen… tai sitten ei (tuon näkeminen on myös yksilöllistä). Seuraavassa kameran tekniset tiedot.
